Serving as the city's first woman mayor, Hon. Jeannie Sandoval embodies the call of Malabon’s citizens for change and a new class of leadership.

Mayor Jeannie Sandoval’s ambition for true people-centric governance began to be realized during her term as the city’s vice mayor from 2013 to 2019. With advocacies rooted in social welfare and women empowerment, she led the Sangguniang Panlungsod to work towards healthcare, education, social services, as well as entrepreneurial and livelihood programs.

A true-blue “Sandigan” of Malabon’s citizens, Mayor Jeannie’s excellence in public service extends beyond her duties to the City Government. She was lauded for the achievements of Soroptimist International of Malabon under her leadership as Malabon from 2008 and in 2016 was invited to speak at the 56th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women at the UN Headquarters in New York. Her work for the non-government organization earned the award for Most Outstanding Club in 2011 and 2012 at the International Philippine Region Conference.

Mayor Jeannie Sandoval is an alumni of —— for her elementary and secondary education and a holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the De La Salle University.

She has also served as the Chairperson of the Philippine Red Cross-Malabon City Chapter, as well as one of the Board of Directors of the Development Bank of the Philippines, and as President of Genesis Industrial Gases Corporation.

Married to former Congressman Federico “Ricky” Sandoval, the couple continues to work as a team to serve Malabon’s citizens in every capacity.

For Mayor Jeannie, public service is not simply a duty to fulfill, it is a calling that must be fought for and nurtured with every opportunity, from one taga-Malabon to another.
